Established in 1986, our mission is to further the education of children from San Felipe who desire to achieve their fullest potential, but need financial help to do so. 

Club Las Amigas is the first, and oldest non-profit established in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. 

The town of San Felipe is located along the Sea of Cortez about 130 miles from the Mexico/U.S. border. This small fishing town will celebrate its 100-year anniversary in 2025. When Club Las Amigas was established, less than 15 professionals were living within the town. Anticipating that San Felipe would grow and new jobs would be needed to sustain the economy, founding member, Diana Arostegui and a group of community members started a college scholarship for local students. 

Since its founding, Club Las Amigas has been able to award over 200 university scholarships to local San Felipe students. Many of those have returned to San Felipe to begin their careers. Today, Club Las Amigas has expanded to include a secundaria sponsorship program to ensure that local students have the school supplies, uniforms, and bus tickets to continue in school past the sixth grade.
