YOU MADE IT HAPPEN!! The Teacher Wishlist has been FULLY CLEARED!! With help from community members and those living afar, every single item on the Amazon Wish List has been purchased! A special shoutout to Pete's Camp Fire Department, who generously stepped in to fully clear the list. The generosity extended to teachers at Escuela Amistad and Escuela Tecnica does more than fill the shelves--it lifts a heavy burden. Thank you for showing up for teachers in San Felipe.
Club Las Amigas is thrilled to announce our 2025 University Scholarship Recipients! After reviewing many amazing applications, our selection committee chose five exceptional students based on academic achievement and financial need. Each student will receive a 4-year scholarship totaling $6,000 USD to help with tuition, housing, and other expenses as they pursue their college dreams. These scholarships are made possible by YOU — through support of our Tide Calendar, Casino Night, Women’s Day Tea, and generous donations. Thank you for believing in the power of education!

We had over 100 students show up for our ice cream social at Escuela Tecnica and Escuela Amistad. We also had a great turnout this year of sponsors who had the opportunity to meet their student. This year, we asked students to share with us "What Club Las Amigas means to them." Here are a few of the responses:
"Club Las Amigas helps me become a better student, and makes sure I have everything I need to accomplish my studies."
"For me, Club Las Amigas means a lot, because you're working so hard to help us, and I really appreciate your efforts. Thank you for your help."
"Club Las Amigas is a help and support that helped me, my parents, and my sisters a lot. And I am very gradeful for the people who made this help possible."
"For me, it will be a pleasure to meet the people who bought my uniform and my breakfast."
This year, Club Las Amigas volunteered to help with the annual Cancer Walk. We had the pleasure of volunteering at the registration table and helping to sell raffle tickets to raise funds for the San Felipe Cancer Center.
It was a pleasure to support our community and join forces with the San Felipe Rotary, the Lion's Club and other organizations in San Felipe for an important cause.
Thank you everyone who celebrated International Women’s Day with us! We are grateful for Flor de Naranjo who graced us with their dancing, and a performance by Escuela Técnica band, who have new instruments because of the generosity in this community. We are also greatly appreciative of all the businesses and community members who donated items for our silent auction.
Through your generosity during our holiday Gifts with a Purpose, we were able to provide Escuela Tecnica and Escuela Amistad with sports equipment including a new professional grade volleyball net and volleyball which has already been put to good use! Thank you for supporting education for local San Felipe students!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Casino! What a fun day to help make dreams come true for local San Felipe students!! Thank you to the Lions Club San Felipe, B.C. Mexico volunteers who helped deal, shuffle cards, and serve cocktails, and to the Rotary Club of San Felipe for helping us tear down. We couldn’t pull off this event without all the amazing support of this community! Thank you!
In December, Club Las Amigas hosted a University Brunch at Rositas Restaurant, bringing together 14 current and past scholarship recipients.
The morning was filled with meaningful reflections as the recipients shared cherished memories of San Felipe and their aspirations for the future.
Their stories highlighted the deep connections to their roots, revolving around themes of community, the beach, family, and friendships.
It was a beautiful celebration of dreams inspired by a strong sense of place and belonging.
Escuela Técnica, one of the local secundaria schools, received much needed medical equipment for the school’s nurse’s office thanks to the generosity of one of our Club Las Amigas members, Sharon Rhodes.
The crutches, wheelchairs, and medical equipment will provide students with access to better care and support when they need it most. It’s moments like these that remind us how a single act of kindness can change lives.
Club Las Amigas would like to thank COTUCO San Felipe for the opportunity to participate in the 2024 Snow Birds Fest.
If you missed us, you can always find our table at the Swap Meet on Saturdays. We have our Tide & Event Calendars, San Felipe Memories Quilt Raffle Tickets, and our Gifts with a Purpose holiday catalog. 100% of proceeds go back into the community to help local students stay in school.

Students worked together to complete a collaborative poster project in which each student colored one piece of the poster. The posters were given to the principals at each school to hang in the office.
